Icarus

Icarus
The craftsman Daedalus, attempting to flee the wrath of King Minos of Crete with his son Icarus, created two sets of wings with feathers held together with wax. The father and son successfully flew away from Crete, but foolhardy Icarus soared too close to the sun, melting his wings and sending him plummeting to his death in the sea below.
